Berkeley Community Meditation: White Tara Stream of Nectar
January 15, 2017
Come and gather with us!
We would be delighted to have you join us in guided meditation, reflecting on the Dharma, and setting our vision upon innate goodness! We will join together for White Tara meditation and silent sitting in our beautiful shrine room. Zafus and chairs are provided and we offer tea and snacks afterwards.
We are located in the heart of downtown Berkeley and there are many delicious restaurants in walking distance for those who would like to dine out afterwards. We look forward to seeing you there!
Nigel Wolovick (Lhasang Dorje) is a student of both Pema Khandro Rinpoche, as well as Venerable Lama Konchok Sonam who has encouraged him to share this meditation/visualization practice as an extension of the Katsel Monastery in Tibet for the benefit of anyone who can attend. The practice of White Tara, like the sadhanas of all other Buddhas, is said to ultimately lead to overcoming all sources of suffering and attainment of the Enlightened state, while it has the relative benefits of helping with greater health and clearing the obstacles to a long life. This practice is said to help transmute sources of illness so that the practitioner can live a long healthy life to continue their dharma activities.
Free and Open to the public, all are welcome.
